Irrigation today is a problem! Yes, we use it everywhere. In farms specifically, irrigation is wasting a lot of water. 6,300 gallons of water are being wasted every month by irrigation. As water is becomming a more and more valuable resouce, we need to fix the way we use irrigation. There are many ways that people have though of that!
Drip irrigation is when instead of dumping water onto the crops or in these pipes, people decided to serve water directly to the crops. So a pipe would let water traev from under ground to a storage tank. the storage tank would hold the water all night since this system happens at night. In the morning the farmer will open the tank and the water would go directly to the plant.
Bassically, it's the whole drip irrigation process. The only difference is that you add a solar panel to the pipe system and so the pipe isn't running on harmful oils and gasses to harm the environment.
